Nancy L. Wilson, O.D.

Doctor Nancy L. Wilson, OD

Dr. Nancy Wilson graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry located in Fullerton in 1984 with Magna Cum Laude honors. She opened Woodbridge Optometry with Dr. Likens in June 1985 in Stonecreek Plaza. The office was re-located in 1994, then again in 2013 to the spacious, state-of-the-art optometry office located on the corner of Barranca and Lake.

Dr. Wilson is a member of the American Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association Contact Lens Section, the California Optometric Association, and the Orange County Optometric Society. She received her therapeutics license in 1997, her glaucoma management training in 2003 and additional glaucoma certification in 2013.

Dr. Wilson has enjoyed building her "Family" eye care practice and the relationships in the community since opening. Her strengths include contact lens fittings and problem solving. With the latest in technology, evaluating and diagnosing eye health issues quicker has become an emphasis. Dr. Wilson takes pride in keeping the frame dispensary up to date in design and with latest frame styles.

Dr. Wilson lives in Irvine with her husband. Her 2 children went through the Irvine school system and are currently living in Denver Colorado. During her children's school years, she was very active as a "Baseball" mom and a "Cheerleading" mom. Dr. Wilson and her daughter also spent 6 years in National Charity League volunteering many hours in a variety of philanthropies. Her interests include travel, digital photography, running, and baking.

Christopher Likens, O.D.

Doctor Christopher Likens, OD

Dr. Likens is one of the partners at Woodbridge Optometry. He graduated from Southern California College of Optometry in 1983. While attending optometry school Dr. Likens was awarded the prestigious Irving M. Borish, OD award for an outstanding clinical research paper on the measurement of intraocular pressures.

Dr. Likens is a member of the American Optometric Association along with the California Optometric Association, and the Orange County Optometric Society. He is also a member of the Contact Lens section of the AOA. He has earned his therapeutic treatment licensure in 1996 and his glaucoma management and treatment certification in 2001. He has received an advanced glaucoma certification in 2013.

Dr. Likens' clinical emphasis is in contact lenses and disease treatment of the eye including his special interest in the treatment of dry eyes. He is also a primary clinical investigator for a contact lens company and does consulting work for Allergan.

Dr. Likens has been a resident in Irvine since 1983. He has two grown children just out of college who have enjoyed the Irvine school system. His outside interest include photography; biking, hiking, antique cars and travel. He also has a special interest in technology and enjoys researching and purchasing the latest optometric instruments, which can be found at Woodbridge Optometry.

Karen K. Toki, O.D.

Doctor Karen Toki, OD

Dr. Toki has been with Woodbridge Optometry since 1999. She brings a wealth of knowledge in the practice of primary eye care with fifteen years of experience in multi-specialty groups. She is always happy to see her patients both in and out of the office and enjoys using the new technologies available at Woodbridge to better monitor changes in diabetes, macular degeneration, glaucoma and cataracts.

Dr. Toki graduated from Southern California College of Optometry in 1984, earned her Therapeutic licensure in 1998, and completed her glaucoma treatment and management certification in 2003. She graduated cum laude from UCLA.

While in school Dr. Toki received the George I. Deane Jr., O.D. Memorial Leadership Award, the Geraldine J. Sherman Memorial Scholarship Award, and the Dr. Art Sugino Memorial Award. She was a featured speaker at the "Women in Science and Mathematics" conference, sponsored by UCI and the Association of University Women. She is a member of the Asian American Optometric Society, serving one year as the Publication Chairman.

Irvine has proven to be ideal for Dr. Toki's family, work and community desires. Her husband is an educator who has coached many of their sons' basketball and baseball teams who now attend schools in Irvine. Dr. Toki enjoys volunteering at her sons' schools and on their football, basketball and baseball teams and has been the team photographer for her son's high school basketball team. The Toki-Wakayama family has enjoyed being part of the Orange Coast Optimists where her sons have been involved in community service. When not shuttling her sons to games and practices, she can be found reading a good book or walking her dog. In 2009 she walked in her first ½ Marathon.

Kenneth T. Bracken, O.D.

Doctor Kenneth T. Bracken, OD

Dr. Kenneth Bracken is a new addition to the Woodbridge Optometry team! Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Bracken attended Ferris State University where he received dual Bachelors of Science degrees in Applied Biology and Vision Science. He went on to obtain his doctoral degree from the Michigan College of Optometry where he graduated cum laude in May 2010. He received his internship training at Duane L. Waters Hospital, Veteran Affairs Northern Indiana Health Care Systems, and the prestigious Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

After graduation, Dr. Bracken moved to Southern California where he practiced both full-scope optometry in a private practice setting as well as medical optometry alongside ophthalmologists of all specialties at the Pacific Eye Institute and Laser Center until relocating to Orange County in early 2016. From his time at the Pacific Eye Institute and Laser Center, Dr. Bracken brings years of experience managing thousands of cataract and hundreds of refractive surgery patients to our practice.

Dr. Bracken is a member of the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association. He is board certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry with the most advanced optometric credentials in California to treat glaucoma. Dr. Bracken is experienced in eye infection and disease management, and has a special interest in glaucoma and cataract pre and post surgical management.

Dr. Bracken is an avid sports fan and played hockey and baseball growing up. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and following the local sports teams. He is also a technology enthusiast and enjoys utilizing the latest eye care technologies available here at Woodbridge to provide his patients with the highest quality care.

Jennifer Tsai, O.D.

Doctor Jennifer Tsai, OD

Dr. Jennifer Tsai is the latest addition to our Woodbridge Optometry family of doctors. She completed her undergraduate career at University of Virginia, where she earned a double degree in Biology and Psychology. She received her training in optometry at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She also completed internships at St. Albans Veteran Hospital, Bascom Palmer Hospital, Walter Reed Medical Center, Eye Doctors of Washington, and Pediatrics at The Eye Institute of Philadelphia. Prior to joining Woodbridge Optometry, Dr. Tsai gained expertise working at Mount Sinai New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, The Brooklyn Hospital Center, Diabetic Eye Center, and the Lasik Vision Institute.

Dr. Tsai is a member of the American Optometric Association and glaucoma board certified. Dr. Tsai enjoys working with corrective refractive therapy, pediatric exams, emergency visits, treatment of dry eyes and ocular allergies, glasses and specialty contact fits. She also treats and co-manages glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, LASIK care, and retinal pathologies including diabetic retinopathy and hypertensive retinopathy.

Dr. Tsai's goal as a doctor is to educate her patients so that they may be well-informed decision makers on issues affecting their vision and health. Forming meaningful compassionate relationships with her patients and their families are of top priority for her. When Dr. Tsai is not in the office she enjoys traveling, outdoor photography, and is an avid painter. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese, and has a workable knowledge of Spanish.
