Dr. Nancy L. Wilson, O.D.

Doctor Nancy L. Wilson, OD

Dr. Nancy Wilson graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry located in Fullerton in 1984 with Magna Cum Laude honors. She opened Woodbridge Optometry with Dr. Likens in June 1985 in Stonecreek Plaza. The office was re-located to its current location in 1994.

Dr. Wilson is a founding member of the American Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association Contact Lens Section, the California Optometric Association, and the Orange County Optometric Society. She received her therapeutics license in 1997 and her glaucoma management training in 2003.

Dr. Wilson has enjoyed building her "Family" eye care practice and the relationships in the community since opening. Her strengths include contact lens fittings and problem solving. With the latest in technology, evaluating and diagnosing eye health issues quicker has become an emphasis.

Dr. Wilson lives in Irvine with her husband. Her 2 children went through the Irvine school system and are currently attending college in San Diego. During her children's school years, she was very active as a "Baseball" mom and a "Cheerleading" mom. Dr. Wilson and her daughter also spent 6 years in National Charity League volunteering many hours in a variety of philanthropies. Her interests include travel, digital photography, running, and baking.

Dr. Christopher Likens, O.D.

Doctor Christopher Likens, OD

Dr. Likens is one of the partners at Woodbridge Optometry. He graduated from Southern California College of Optometry in 1983. While attending optometry school Dr. Likens was awarded the prestigious Irving M. Borish, OD award for an outstanding clinical research paper.

Dr. Likens is a founding member of the American Optometric Association along with the California Optometric Association, and the Orange County Optometric Society. He is also a member of the Contact Lens section of the AOA.

He has earned his therapeutic treatment licensure in 1996 and his glaucoma management and treatment certification in 2001.

Dr. Likens' clinical emphasis is in contact lenses and disease treatment of the eye including his special interest in the treatment of dry eyes. He is also a primary clinical investigator for a contact lens company and does consulting work for Allergan.

Dr. Likens has been a resident in Irvine since 1983. He has two almost grown children in college who have enjoyed the Irvine school system. His outside interest include photography, biking, and travel. He has a special interest in technology, which can be found at Woodbridge Optometry.

Dr. Karen K. Toki, O.D.

Doctor Karen Toki, OD

Dr. Toki has been with Woodbridge Optometry since 1999. She brings a wealth of knowledge in the practice of primary eye care with fifteen years of experience in multi-specialty groups. She is always happy to see her patients both in and out of the office and enjoys using the new technologies available at Woodbridge to better monitor changes in diabetes, macular degeneration, glaucoma and cataracts.

Dr. Toki graduated from Southern California College of Optometry in 1984, earned her Therapeutic licensure in 1998, and completed her glaucoma treatment and management certification in 2003. She graduated cum laude from UCLA.

While in school Dr. Toki received the George I. Deane Jr., O.D. Memorial Leadership Award, the Geraldine J. Sherman Memorial Scholarship Award, and the Dr. Art Sugino Memorial Award. She was a featured speaker at the "Women in Science and Mathematics" conference, sponsored by UCI and the Association of University Women. She is a member of the Asian American Optometric Society, serving one year as the Publication Chairman.

Irvine has proven to be ideal for Dr. Toki's family, work and community desires. Her husband is an educator who has coached many of their sons' basketball and baseball teams who now attend schools in Irvine. Dr. Toki enjoys volunteering at her sons' schools and on their football, basketball and baseball teams and has been the team photographer for her son's high school basketball team. The Toki-Wakayama family has enjoyed being part of the Orange Coast Optimists where her sons have been involved in community service. When not shuttling her sons to games and practices, she can be found reading a good book or walking her dog. In 2009 she walked in her first ½ Marathon.
